Muzaffargarh Police have busted 10 organised gangs of robbers, kidnappers and murders and recovered stolen goods worth Rs 60 million, five klashinkovs, nine rifles, 21 guns, 29 revolvers, 68 pistols, 30 carbines, and 470 live cartridges during three days drive against the outlaws.

Briefing the journalists, DPO Muzaffargarh Rai Muhammad Tahir on Monday claimed that 516 out of total 916 proclaimed offenders, 98 out of 514 judicial absconders were arrested when they reached to meet their relatives on the eve of Eidul Fitr.

Explaining the details, the DPO said: "We have planned to purge the police force of black-sheep who were reluctant to take action against the outlaws and our drive against criminals would continue till the arrest of last proclaimed offender."

He said the police have busted the organised gangs of Tanveer alias Tanveera Jatani, Rasuli, Ayyuba, Rasoola, Malki, Khalidi, Azam, Atti-Khosa and Nasira gangs, which were involved in scores of heinous crimes.
